Stephanie Kiwitt - Awardee 2010

Stephanie Kiwitt’s theme is the visual everyday life in which we all find ourselves. She presents in her works the world of objects, rooms, interior furnishings and urban still lifes. Alienations, extracts and reflections, which often seem puzzling or poetic emerge. The jury found that on closer inspection her quiet representation of the world disclose their allure. The artist reveals that exceptional beauty and qualities can be found in everyday objects. Museum Kunstwerk presents works of her series “I want to live in the present and not the past”.

She was born 1972 in Bonn and now lives and works in Brussels.
